Vacancy - Post of ICT/Database Associate
The National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC), established by the Science and Technology Development Act No. 11 of 1994, functions under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
NASTEC invites applications from citizens of Sri Lanka to fill the following position:
POST OF ICT/DATABASE ASSOCIATE (01 POST)
Major Duties of the Post:
$11. To assist the Senior Scientists in the performance of their duties by collecting information and maintaining databases relevant to S&T matters/personnel
$12. Be responsible for computer application needs of NASTEC including software and hardware
$13. Be responsible for the maintenance of the office computers including software and hardware
$14. To maintain and update the NASTEC website under the supervision of the Director
$15. To carry out all tasks assigned by Chairman, Director or Senior Scientists in relation to the activities of study groups, expert committees, and consultative fora
$16. To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Chairman/Director
Qualifications: A degree with Computer Applications as a subject
Age: Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.
Salary code and scale: MA 3 - 2006 A : Rs. (15,600 - 10x215 - 4x240 - 15x320 - 7x360 - 26,030) + Approved Government Allowances (Rs.10,000.00+7,800.00+20% of Basic Salary).
** Note : A good practical knowledge in computer systems will be an advantage.
